Moderator: Danja Vasiliev
In this one day intensive workshop Danja will introduce tools and strategies that enable participants to understand and use computer networks (including the Internet) as a physical and plastic material – looking below the browser-based use paradigm to the level of network infrastructure itself. In doing so, participants will learn to read network topologies as political control structures, opening up networks themselves as rich sites for critical art andengineering practices within a broader (and timely) techno-political frame.
Participans: No prior knowledge of computer networking or programming is required.
Quota: 8 people
Preconditions: Participants are asked to bring their laptops with ethernet networking port (Macbook Air users need to have USB-ethernet dongle) and 8gb usb sticks
